UK supermarket and convenience chain Co-operative Group is partnering with intermediary Deliveroo to offer rapid delivery from its stores in London, following a trial in Manchester in 2018. The Co-op said 11 stores now offered home delivery in as little as 20 minutes. The Deliveroo option is also available nationwide from Co-op’s proximity symbol chain Nisa, though it is down to individual store owners to decide if demand warrants the offer.

A third option being tested by the retailer involves couriers and taxi firms being used to facilitate delivery. The trial is being conducted in partnership with software specialist Lineten and is currently under test in 12 outlets.
